Magic markers are a versatile calligraphy tool that can expand your lettering
repertoire. Whether you enjoy writing with a broad-edge tool or a pointed one, there
is a magic marker that can bring your playful doodling alive.
We will demo a variety of markers and techniques including: drop shadow, shading,
outlining, ombre effects, decorating, and double stroke letters. We’ll have a
variety of papers and some ideas for creating a Thanksgiving card, sign, or place
- Whatever markers you already have
- Micron or extra-fine Sharpie pen
- Variety of papers – copy paper, envelopes, marker layout paper
- Scissors and/or X-acto knife with extra blades/cutting surface
- Glue or glue stick
