Sometimes a broadside just won’t work for your project, so consider making a book instead.
With some basic equipment and materials, some good instructions, a little bit of time, and a small measure of imagination; you can create beautiful and useful structures to hold your calligraphy and artwork.
In this workshop, we’ll explore how to turn a single sheet of paper into signatures for a book, how to create hard covers for your signatures, and slipcases for your soft cover books. We will also examine how to layout your calligraphy in the various structures so that it reads like a book not a collage.
Structures: One page books, accordion, pamphlet and double pamphlet
